Hi! Sorry its taken so long for me to write back- it takes me forever to think about questions like this.
But I guess the best advice I could give you is also the most boring advice: keep drawing and practicing your fundamental skills. Its the foundation upon which everything else is built. I think its a mistake to go out looking for a style- if you keep working every day eventually a style will find you. But style isn’t what’s important- the most important thing is building your confidence, and you can only get there by practice and exercise. I’ve started going back to life drawing, and it is painful, slow process to improve, but I know I’ll never get better if I don’t try.
But if you do ever come across someone who knows a shortcut, I would really like to know about it. :)
Started going back to life drawing after an embarrassingly long hiatus. You know what? Drawing is hard.
Got no work done tonight, and all of a sudden BLECH! It’s midnight.
